What is the Technology Fee?

In addition to the tuition fee for your programme, students pay a Technology Fee. The Technology Fee provides 24/7 access to the online learning environment and the other required licensed technologies.

How the fee is broken into instalments depends on whether you are studying on a Master's or Doctoral degree programme - see the table below for details.

When you are invoiced for the instalments depends on your payment plan:

One instalment payment plan: you will be invoiced for all 12 Technology Fees within 30 days of receiving your tuition invoice.

Three instalment and modular payment plans:  you will be invoiced for one technology fee every time you register to a module.

Monthly payment plan:  you will be invoiced for the technology fee with your monthly tuition fee and the technology fee will be due on the 2nd day of the following month after your registration has been processed. You will be invoiced one technology fee every time your register to a module.

IMPORTANT:
1. Dissertation/Final Research Programmes: The technology fee will be divided into 4 separate invoices, issued every 2-3 months*.
*This does not apply to the one instalment payment plan as all technology fees are billed at the beginning of the programme.
2. A re-sit of a module or other programme component/s may incur additional technology fees. The amount charged for the technology fee is subject to an annual review, though you will be informed prior to any change in cost.
3. The Master of Public Health programme will incur 13 technology fees as the programme has 9 modules and 1 final research project which includes 4 technology fees.
4. If you register to multiple modules in one term, you will be charged all technology fees related to the registrations during your first module.
