Q. I have a question about my UK Postgraduate Loan with Student Finance
To minimise delay in resolving your postgraduate loan query, please be sure to attach your Loan Entitlement Letter in your query. If you do not have a Loan Entitlement Letter, please include your Loan Reference number.
Q. What is my deadline for applying for a UK Postgraduate Loan?
Students who started their University of Liverpool online programme on or after 29 September 2016 may apply for the loan.
The rules regarding the application depend on your programme start date.
The Postgraduate Loan website section “When to apply by” provides the specific guidelines: https://www.gov.uk/postgraduate-loan/how-to-apply
Q. Where can I find more information about external student funding that is available to me?
You can find information on various funding schemes on the main Student Finance page.
Q. When will my Confirmation of Attendance be processed for my Postgraduate Loan?
If you have already received your Loan Entitlement Letter by your programme start date, the Confirmation of Attendance for the programme cohort is processed automatically after two weeks of class participation or after Day 14 of the programme start date.
If you have been approved for the Postgraduate Loan after you have already started your programme, please upload your Loan Entitlement Letter using the below form, so the loan administrator can easily find and process your file.
If you do not have a Loan Entitlement Letter, please include your Loan Reference number.
Q. I have applied for the Postgraduate Loan under a different programme name, start date or institution, and I need to make changes.
Your Postgraduate Loan file should reflect the correct programme name, campus and correct programme start date.
If you need to make any changes to your file, you would need to do a Change of Circumstance Form, found on the Postgraduate Loan website.
The institution details you would need are as follows:
University Name: University of Liverpool
University of Liverpool,
Name of Campus/Location: Laureate Online
Course Type: Taught Master’s
Study Type: Part-Time
Course Length: 3 years
Is this a distance learning course? Yes
Q. I have a postgraduate loan, and I want to take a break or withdraw from my studies.
Please ensure to review the Postgraduate Loan Guide to “Taking a break from your studies or withdrawing from your course.” You can find this guide and other Postgraduate Loan resources at https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/content.php?r=22757-Postgraduate-Loan
If you decide to take a break or withdraw, please ensure to communicate with the Student Support Team and Student Finance England/Wales to ensure that both your student records and loan records are always matching and up to date. Failing to do this may have implications for your postgraduate loan funding.
You can find more information on our Student Finance page.
